KATHMANDU: After the massive success of previous two edition, Spark Car is organizing the third edition of its Spark Adventure event from May 9 to 11 (Baisakh 26–28) in Gauritap, Pattale, Solukhumbu. The first edition in 2022 promoted wild honey hunting in Bhujung, Lamjung, while the second edition in 2023 spotlighted Shailung on the Ramechhap–Dolakha border with the theme “Wild Stay with Chauri.” Spark Adventure is held annually to promote hidden destinations with high tourism potential.
According to Spark Car Director Sitaram Ghimire, This year’s Spark Adventure will see the participation of over 200 individuals. Participants will travel to and from the destination in BYD electric vehicles.” Gauritap, accessible by road from Kathmandu within a day, offers panoramic views of Everest and other Himalayan peaks.
Schedule:
- The first day will feature an electric vehicle journey from Kathmandu to Gauritap, where participants will camp in tents.
- On the second day, Participants will travel to Rumjatar in Okhaldhunga, overnight stay at homestays in Rumjatar.
- Participants will move back to kathmandu on third day.
The Spark Adventure will include high-ranking officials from government and non-government organizations, entrepreneurs, artists, tourism professionals, and journalists.
